Sesuvy v mýtech a legendách
Landslides in myths and legends by Jan Klimeš and Tomáš Pánek.
Landslides are fearsome events which have always been presented in the nature. Legends are one way of cooping with those phenomena in the past centuries but surprisingly evolve also during recent times in different parts of the World. In rare cases, legends explain well the observed natural processes, but most myths show just very little understanding of the nature. Presented examples demonstrate desperate need to understand often disastrous landslide events regardless reliability of suggested interpretations.
